Updated Reunion Info

We have the locations for all activities for our reunion, Friday April 3, 2009. We are so excited to see you all. Please read all information below carefully. If it doesn't answer your questions, feel free to email me: maskfamily@gmail.com Hope to see you there!!!!!

Location for the breakfast: Liberty Park-- we will meet in the park on the SW corner of 700 East and 900 South where the covered picnic tables and the children's playground is located. Parking near the play area can be accessed by entering Liberty Park from the 1300 South entrance of the park, turning right and following that road. In case of inclement weather, we will meet at the meeting house on the SW corner of 700 South 500 East.

Location for the hermanas' luncheon* will be in the Social Room of Brigham Apts. located at 201 E. South Temple.

Location for the mingles and the fireside will be at the meetinghouse on the SW corner of 700 S and 500 E (same place as the alternate location for the breakfast).

*The hermanas' luncheon is really the only event we need a good ball-park head count. I know many of you have RSVPd on EVITE but there were 3 separate events, and some people replied to one event thinking they had replied for all three events, (I know. It was confusing) I don't feel like we have a good accurate count. So please e-mail hermana Mask maskfamily@gmail.com to let me know that you are coming. THANKS!

Also, if you need babysitters Friday evening, we will have Young Women there. Please e-mail me with number of children so we will know how many YW we need. We will ask each family to pitch in according to number of children.

We're SO excited for this wonderful event. So excited to see you all!!!!!!! It has been very fun to see all those who have joined our facebook group; Barcelona Spain Mission--President Clate W. Mask. If you have not joined PLEASE DO! You will be amazed at all the companions you can reconnect with.

The Reunion

ATTENTION ALL FARO MISSIONARIES WHO SERVED UNDER PRES. CLATE W. MASK:

...to a Faro missionary reunion and we are making a huge effort to locate every missionary who served under Pres. Mask. This will be an outstanding event as we plan to celebrate the TENTH ANNIVERSARY of the DEDICATION of the MADRID, SPAIN TEMPLE. It will be held in Salt Lake City in conjunction with April Conference.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

FRIDAY, APRIL 3, 2009

9:30AM Breakfast in the park.

WHERE: park in SLC, exact address TBA

WHO: All faro missionaries, their spouses and children

BRING: finger food to share, such as Gogurt, breakfast bars, juice boxes, fruit, donuts/sweet rolls, churros con chocolate!!!! . . .I wish!

Hot chocolate will be provided

12:30--2:00PM Hermanas Luncheon

WHERE: Social Room of Brigham Apts. 201 E. South Temple, SLC --1 block from Temple Square

WHO: All hermanas who served under Pte. Mask

BRING: favorite mission photos, a smile, and an appetite

6:30---7:30PM: Mingle

WHERE: a meeting house in SLC, exact address TBA

WHO: all missionaries and spouses*

NOTE: during this hour, we will meet in 3 separate groups depending on your years of service

7:30--8:30PM: Fireside--keynote speaker will be Elder Clate Mask

WHERE: same location as the mingle

8:30--?? informal visiting

*Babysitters will be available at the building for those needing this service

HERMANA SOCIAL (in place of the slumber party)

Saturday, April 4th beginning at 5PM until ????
Social Room of Brigham Apts. 201 E. South Temple, SLC --1 block from Temple Square

Meet at the same social room as the luncheon for more time with Hermanas and Hermana Mask. Don't come hungry...bring a snack, appetizer, dessert or treat to share. There is plenty of cozy room for us all to spend a little more time together catching up. We have the room reserved until 9PM, but it is unlikely that another group will reserve the room at that time, so we anticipate being able to stay later. Come and go as you please.

1. Please help us find missionaries.  Share e-mail addresses you might have.  Look up some of your old companions.  Who would you just love to see and reconnect with?  I know you are creative "finders"!!  Put those talents to work and help us locate these missionaries.  IMPORTANT:  Please send these new-found e-mail addresses to Rich Day so that they can be added to the master list.

2. We want ALL those missionaries to attend who possibly can make it.  If you are single, divorced, married with children, less active, no longer a Church member, bishop, RS president or nursery leader, you were a part of an amazing team that left it's mark, not only on Spain and the people there, but your influence on your missionary companions was immeasurable and they want to see you. . . .yes, YOU!!.. . .and SO DO WE!!

 

3. We need to know aprox how many families will need child care for Friday night in order to know how many babysitters we need.

 

4.  YES!  Any members from Spain who can make it are invited also.

 

WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU ALL.  WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU IN APRIL.  LET'S MAKE THIS AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE BY GETTING TOGETHER ONCE MORE AND BASKING IN THE SPIRIT OF THE FARO MISSION!!!  THE MORE THAT CAN  COME, THE BETTER IT WILL BE!!
